Kay Gee 40 ropes in home boy Flexxo Mushawarukwa on his latest offering titled “Ndri Ghetto”. Born Trevor Goustino in Dangamvura, Mutare, the song celebrates where he is from which is the ghetto. The song talks about his identity and celebrates it.
Why feature Flexxo Mushawarukwa on this joint? He said, ” I have great respect for the rapper who happens to be a friend and a homeboy too. It was high time we had done something together and this was the perfect song.”
“You can never make it where you’re going unless if you acknowledge where you came from. I am don’t like being artificial. There is something about speaking your truth it always resonates with people”, said Kay Gee 40 who is now based in Harare, Zimbabwe.
The song which was produced by the award winning producer Fun F is part of the upcoming Ep ” Nothing Without “. So basically saying i am nothing without where i came from, these are the people that made me.
The joint is accompanied by a video directed by Clyde Jones Visuals. In my opinion this is a joint for the streets and the goons are gonna love it not because its a banger of which it is, but because of its lyrics which meet our reality.
