Meet Sylent Nqo a Multi-talented guitarist-Zimmagazine

Sylent Nqo is a Zimbabwean Guitarist – singer/songwriter who’s artistic process began as a child when his parents bought him his first Guitar and a set of Marimba (xylophone)…

He has worked and shared the stage with some of Africa’s prominent names namely:
The Late, Dr Oliver Mtukudzi,  The Late Hugh Masekela, Mr Eazi, Dotman, Jah Cure Davido, Jah Prayzah and Ammara Brown to name a few.

From the age of 15. Sylent Nqo has tour several countries across the globe such as the UK, Norway, Sweden,  Egypt, Italy and the US.

In 2016 he went and represented Zimbabwe at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Hollywood and he was crowned “Senior Solo Instrumental Grand Champion of the World” which made him the first Zimbabwean and African to win such an award.

Of late. He’s been working on different projects including an EP with South African Legend, PJ Powers and they’ve done a few shows in Zimbabwe and are hoping to be going on a tour soon. Sylent is also the man on the guitar and co-writing for a lot of hit songs around the country and the continent by artists such as:

Jah Prayzah × Davido – My Lilly
Jah Prayzah × Jah Cure – Angelo
Shattawale × Mr Eazi – Haters

And a lot more.

Sylent’s music has receive fair airplay on local and international radio stations and he’s hoping to grow even bigger and broaden his reach throughout the globe.
